May April 20 - May 20: Taurus

The Long Run

The Zodiac Sign Taurus, or “Bull”, is ruled by Aphrodite (or Venus), goddess of love. This makes sense, as the constellation represents Zeus, who abducted the Phenician princess Europa in the form of a bull. He made her the queen of Crete, and their son Minos laid the groundwork for the Western civilisation. The splendid palace at Knossos is a testament for a Taurus’ ability to combine luxury and comfort with practicality. A Taurus enjoys the good things in life, and will work hard to obtain them, as well as to ensure stability for the future. They’re all about return on investment, and that’s why a bull is the symbol of Wall Street. A Taurus prioritises consistency and reliability in all areas of life, professional as well as personal. They’re not inclined to leave their comfort zone, which can make them come across as inflexible, stubborn even. They don’t appreciate surprises, and when they get angry, you’d better run – fast. Once committed, a Taurus is in it for the long run, and they will defend the life they built for themselves at all costs.
